MADINA: Security forces arrested at least 38 young men after scuffles broke out during the holiday of Ashoura at Al-Asba District adjacent to the Quba Mosque in Madina late Thursday, a security official said. The 38 young men were taken into custody for creating the chaos, said Brig. Mohsen Al-Radadi, spokesman of the Madina Police Department. The violent confrontation resulted in light injuries and smashed car windows. Eight security departments rushed to the scene and dispersed crowds of the young men who used fists, knives, sticks and stones during the altercation. The confrontation drew heavy security presence, with police patrolling streets after the incident, an eyewitness said. The security authorities have opened an investigation into the incident, Al-Radadi said. The preliminary investigations showed that one group of the young men deliberately tried to create chaos and disorder, he added. They wanted to take revenge on the group who had crowded into one of the yards in the district. The quarrel then descended into violence. The eight security departments on the scene included general intelligence, police, security patrols, criminal investigation, special task forces, traffic and weapons and explosives. – Okaz/Saudi Gazette SR1.7 million ordered for __
