Hemaya Universal and Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) have signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at achieving the best possible results from the First Arab Consumer and Brand Protection Forum to be held in Jeddah later this year. The agreement to exchange information, services and expertise was signed by JCCI President Sheikh Saleh Al-Turki and Hemaya Universal Chairman Ahmed Al-Hamdan. The First Arab Consumer and Brand Protection Forum (www.arabworldprotect.com) is being organized by the Arab League and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) in association with Hemaya Universal. It will be held in Jeddah Oct. 19-21 this year under the patronage of Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, the Governor of Makkah region. JCCI, as the forum's strategic partner, will liaise with the private sector and also invite official and academic bodies to attend and support the Forum's awareness programs. Al-Hamdan said the partnership with JCCI was vital for achieving the objectives of the forum, which is the first collective Arab move under the umbrella of the Arab League to combat counterfeiting and piracy __
