RIYADH: Special Task Forces have made 258 arrests and seized large quantities of weapons, fake documents and illegal substances in a month-long series of operations across Riyadh, police in the capital revealed Wednesday. A police spokesman said the operations in the city involved undercover officers targeting persons wanted for a variety of offenses from theft and robbery, drugs and alcohol-related activities and forgery, to providing transport and harboring persons in violation of labor and residency laws. Firearms seized included machine guns, pistols and ammunition.
