JEDDAH: The court that administers cases at the juvenile correction facility in Jeddah has sentenced two deaf teenagers each to eight months in jail for the public right, two months for the private right and 300 lashes of the whip for luring, blackmailing and burning an deaf boy with cigarettes when he resisted, according to sources. Sources told Okaz/Saudi Gazette that a sign-language translator assisted the judge during the trial so he could hear testimony from the plaintiff and defendants.
