JEDDAH: International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ) and Pakistan International School Jeddah-English Section (PISJ-ES) dominated in the Under-14 Inter-School Cricket Tournament which is sponsored and organized by Saudi Cricket Center at the WPCA Eskan Grounds on Thursday afternoons. While IISJ crushed Al-Faisal International School by 9 wickets in Group A PISJ-ES routed Iqbal International School by 147 runs in Group B. In another Group B match, Gharnata International School went down to DPS Al-Falah International School by 26 runs. The IISJ and Al-Faisal match was a one-sided encounter as IISJ bundled out Faisal School for just 18 runs as Zeeshan grabbed 3 wickets for no run in 3 overs and Badar scalped 2 wickets for one run. Ahmed, Mobeen and Haseeb claimed one wicket each. But for one run that came from the bat of Maaz the other 17 were extras. IISJ responded with 20 for no loss in just 8 balls through Talha (9 not out) and Mobeen (5 not out). Batting first PISJ-ES racked up 202-1 in the allotted 16 overs against Iqbal School as opener Mudassar hammered an unbeaten 101 in 46 balls with 14 fours and Hamza remained not out on 81 with 11 boundaries. They produced an unbroken 193 runs for the second wicket after losing Saqlain for one in the first over of Rafay at the score of 9. Iqbal School, in reply, was restricted to 66 in 15.1 overs as Ohaib took 3-9, Hamza 2-13 and Salman 2-4. Mudassar, Atif and Saqlain accounted for one wicket each. Hamza of Iqbal School scored 12 and none could get to the double figure. In the third match of the day, DPS Al-Flah, taking the strike first piled up 144-5 in 16 overs against Gharnata School as Normid hit 39 in 32 balls, Aiman 25 in 19 balls, Fawad 20, Ozair 10 and Vrez 17. Ahmed, Jawad, Waleed, Inam and Waleed A took one wicket each. Chasing 145 to win Gharnata was stranded at 118-6, thus losing by 26 runs as opener Waleed A tried his best with a fine 58 in 44 balls. Jawad made 12, Inam 14 and Waleed Z 11. The encounter between Corniche and Hala International School was awarded to Hala as Corniche withdrew from the competition. __
