AHSA: Health inspectors from the Baqaiq Municipality have issued warnings to 35 commercial stores and food outlets and fined 20 during checks on 250 locations in the area. Officials added that two sites were ordered closed, while 150 kg of food products and 80 liters of liquid unsuitable for human consumption were seized during the inspections. “The inspections took in chopping centers, local stores, barber shops, confectionary stores and bakeries, as well as vegetable, fruit, meat and fish, and cattle markets,” said Ajab Al-Qahtani, head of the regional municipality. “We were checking on food preparation, staff certification and business licenses.”
