ABHA: Police in Khamis Mushayt have arrested a man accused of shooting and injuring a shopkeeper Tuesday. The man had entered the shop early in the morning after parking his car, with a number of his friends in it, in front of the shop. He threatened the shopkeeper and told him to hand over the money he had. The shopkeeper refused and the man shot him with a pistol he had hidden in his pocket. The victim was shot twice: once in the chest and once in the stomach. The shooter fled the scene immediately. The suspect's car was spotted by a bystander who reported it to the police. The bystander took the injured man to the hospital where the bullets were removed. He is in a stable condition. The victim recognized the attacker from a police lineup. The suspect is in detention and is being investigated.
