The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Monday called on the US State Department to revise its unfriendly policies toward the GCC countries. In a statement after the meeting of foreign ministers of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states held here Monday under the chairmanship of Qatar Foreign Minister Ahmed Bin Abdullah Al-Mahmoud, the council expressed deep regret over a US State Department report on human trafficking “as it contained false and untrue information on the GCC countries”. The Kingdom's delegation to the meeting was headed by Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal. The council condemned the terrorist blast in Algeria and stressed its support to combat terrorism in all forms. Condemning Israeli brutalities against the Palestinians the meeting expressed concern over the EU's plan to upgrade its scientific, economic and political relations with Israel. The council called for boosting the Arab role in Iraq's security and stability. The council also renewed its call to make the Mideast free from weapons of mass destruction while recognizing the right of the region's countries to possess nuclear expertise for peaceful purposes.
