TAIF: A Taif governorate committee has banned about 40 farms where crops were being irrigated by sewage water, according to Ismaeel Ibrahim, the Mayor's Office spokesman. The farms are located north and east of the city. The committee, comprising members from the Mayor's Office, governorate, ministries of agriculture, health and water and other departments, examined the situation and took the decision to ban the farms. “Regulatory punishments will be imposed on violators and their irrigation equipment will be seized,” he said.
