JEDDAH: Saudi Office Expo, the Kingdom's only workplace solutions exhibition, to be held Dec. 12-15 at International Exhibition Center Jeddah, will showcase local and international office furniture specialists as the Kingdom drives for high quality furniture products. Mark Thomas, marketing manager of BME Global, said the local commercial furniture market is set to boom since Saudi Arabia is investing $400 billion in infrastructure till 2013. "According to the RNCOS' 2010 industry report, the furniture consumption in the Kingdom is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of around 12 percent during 2011-2013, making the Kingdom one of the most attractive furniture markets in the Middle East," he said. He added that Abanomay Furniture, which specializes in office, education and auditorium furniture, is showcasing a number of new products at the show. "The SDC-1 and SDC-2, an exclusive series of adjustable desks and chairs targeted at schools and universities, will be launched at the show," he said. "Local expertise is represented by furniture leaders, the Jeddah-based branch of Mohammed and Ali Balubaid Company. They will be showcasing their contemporary and classic designs of office furniture, displaying a wide range of desks, meeting tables, chairs and sofas," he said. Thomas also said Gibca Furniture Industry, based in Ajman, is to launch its new H9 Transparence model of double glazed demountable partitions, for meeting rooms and executive offices at the exhibition, following the success of its Hoyez glazed partition systems for office interiors in the region. The double glazed partitions offer an acoustic rating of up to 46db and can be installed with sandblasted or specialty glass to allow for light or privacy requirements. "International furniture specialists are also looking to use the exhibition as a launch pad into this lucrative market," a spokesperson for Gibca Furniture said. "Fairs such as Saudi office expo are an opportunity for out-of-Kingdom manufacturers and suppliers to gain exposure and insight into the current local market trends," he said. Another international company Archi Touch, based in Egypt, produces, designs, and installs high quality office furniture and equipment ranging from meeting tables and partitions, to work stations, chairs and sofas will also participate . "Since its move in 2004 to manufacturing from importation it has expanded rapidly and is now part of the leading generation in innovative and environmentally conscious office products," Thomas added. Bristol Furniture, one of Malaysia's leading furniture specialists, will be showcasing a range of executive tables, folding tables and desk systems for open area workstations.
