Jeev Milkha Singh of India parred all 18 holes of his final round on Sunday to win the Austrian Open by a stroke. A closing 71 for a 15-under 198 three-round total in the weather-shortened event left Singh one shot better than Britain's Simon Wakefield. Singh claimed his third European Tour title in Nick Faldo fashion, copying the six-time major champion's feat of 1987 when Faldo won the British Open at Muirfield by parring all 18 holes of the final round. Wakefield, Singh's nearest challenger overnight, began the final round four off the lead in the tournament reduced to 54 holes because of Thursday's washout. The Englishman kept the pressure on playing-partner Singh by birdieing three of the last four holes but came up a stroke shy of forcing a playoff. Earlier, Northern Irishman Graeme McDowell, who defeated Singh in a playoff for the Ballantines Championship in March, looked like being the Indian professional's threat again. But after closing to within two strokes of Singh, McDowell bogeyed the last two holes to slip out of the winning picture on 11-under. Swedes Michael Jonzon, Martin Erlandsson and Pelle Edberg and another Briton, Iain Pyman, were the ones to take third place, three shots adrift of Singh. Clark two ahead in Memphis In Tennessee - South African Tim Clark, helped by a spectacular eagle at the par-five 16th, charged two shots clear of a congested leaderboard in the third round of the St. Jude Championship on Saturday. Bidding for his maiden PGA Tour title, the fast-finishing Clark covered the last five holes in a blistering five under par to card a flawless six-under 64. One ahead of the chasing pack when he completed his round, Clark ended another sweltering, blustery day at the TPC Southwind two ahead with a five-under total of 205. Fellow South African Trevor Immelman, the Masters champion, fired a six-birdie 67 for a five-way share of second place with Americans Bill Haas (67) and Marc Turnesa (70), Germany's Alex Cejka (69) and Australian Gavin Coles (70). PGA Tour rookie Turnesa and compatriot Dean Wilson had been Clark's closest challengers late in the day before both faltered over the closing stretch. Turnesa bogeyed 16 and 18 to slide to three under while Wilson double-bogeyed the par-four 17th on his way to a 71. Wilson ended the round at two under with American Justin Leonard (67), Canadian Stephen Ames (68) and three-times major winner Vijay Singh of Fiji (70). Six players had shared the overnight lead at three under; Americans Tommy Armour III, Michael Bradley, Wilson, Turnesa and Jason Dufner, plus Coles. Lee shoots 65 In Maryland, Lee Jee-young of South Korea produced a rousing finish to charge into the lead after three rounds of the LPGA Championship on Saturday. The long-hitting Lee, 22, played the last four holes in four under par, rolling in an eagle putt at the 15th and adding birdies at the 16th and 18th to complete a seven-under-par 65 for 12-under-par 204 at Bulle Rock. Lee began the day five shots behind overnight leader Lorena Ochoa and walked away with a one-stroke lead over Maria Hjorth of Sweden, who also posted 65. Annika Sorenstam moved to 10-under-par 206 after a 68 and was tied with world number one Ochoa, who shot 72.
