Faisal, Emir of Makkah and Chairman of the Haj Central Committee, is scheduled Saturday to meet committee members to discuss field reports on this year's Haj in the Emirate Court in Makkah. Field teams from relevant Haj authorities have submitted 25 reports on Haj services this year and have made recommendations for improving these services for Haj 2011. The members of the committee are expected to discuss Haj service files, including cleanliness and the disruption of the water supply at the holy sites, and the increase in the number of local pilgrims without Haj permits which led to widespread squatting. The Emir will also review cases involving forged Haj permits seized by authorities, who arrested the forgers. Haj companies which failed to deliver the agreed upon services to pilgrims will be also discussed. The Central Haj Committee will also look into how 45,000 vehicles full of pilgrims without Haj permits attempted to sneak into the holy sites. The vehicles were turned away. The Emir is also expected to review uncompleted projects in Makkah which are expected to be ready for next year's Haj season and planned procedures for the departure of pilgrims from Makkah to Madina and then back home following the end of the Haj. This will be the first meeting of the committee after the end of this year's Haj.
