JEDDAH: A total of 8,500 staff of the United Agencies Bureau (UAB) has been deployed to ensure the smooth departure of Haj pilgrims from Saudi Arabia. The UAB works with the Tawafa Establishments under the supervision of the Ministry of Haj. This year they dealt with more than 1.7 million pilgrims from 181 countries. Dr. Abdulillah Muhammad Jad'a, a member of the Board of Directors of the UAB and Supervisor General of the Public Relations department, said the bureau has drawn up a timetable for the pilgrims' departure without overcrowding at the air, sea and land entry and exit points.
