MAKKAH: The Kingdom's government has an “open-door policy” for citizens and anyone else who wants to approach it with any issue, said Prince Naif, Second Deputy Premier, Interior Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Haj Committee. “The State has an open-door policy for all citizens. The King and the Crown Prince's doors are open to everyone who wants to approach and reach them,” stated a report run by the Saudi Press Agency, quoting Prince Naif. The Second Deputy Premier made the comments while receiving Dr. Saleh Bin Saud Aal Ali, Chairman of the Control and Investigation Bureau, and other officials at his office in Makkah, Monday. Prince Naif stressed the importance of the CIB and the purpose for which it had been created. “The bureau is a government body tasked with monitoring the performance of government agencies, without any exceptions.” Prince Naif said the doors of the region's emirs are also open to citizens. He said the policy reflects the “strong relationship” between the leadership and citizens. He pointed out that the late King Abdul Aziz had adopted this policy, which has been followed ever since. Present at the reception were Lt. Gen. Abdul Rahman Bin Ali Al-Rabean, the Second Deputy Premier's Office Supervisor; Dr. Sa'ed Al-Urabi Al-Harithy, Prince Naif's Adviser; and Maj. Gen. Saleh Bin Muhammad Al-Maliki, Director General of Public Relations and Guidance.
