MELBOURNE: Tiger Woods' chances of retaining his Australian Masters title all but evaporated in the gloomy rain at Victoria Golf Club after a third round of even par 71 Saturday left him 10 shots behind leader Adam Bland. Woods, who has not won a title since claiming the gold jacket at nearby Kingston Heath on Melbourne's sandbelt a year ago, mixed three birdies and three bogeys to leave him on one-under par 212 but missed several putts that could have put him back into contention. Australian Bland was involved in a tense battle with playing partner Andre Stolz (72) and shot a one-under 70 for an 11-under 202 to take a three-shot lead over Daniel Gaunt (68). Stolz was third on seven-under 206. Spain's Sergio Garcia shot a six-over 77 to be tied for 26th on two-over 215. Scott leads by 1 Adam Scott shot a 2-under-par 69 Saturday to take a one-stroke lead into the final round of the Singapore Open, a tournament he has won twice before at the Sentosa Golf Club. He has a 3-round total of 14-under 199. Defending champion Ian Poulter of England and Kang Kyung-nam of South Korea were level in second place, Kang after a 67 and Poulter following a 68. In fourth spot, another stroke behind, was US Open champion Graeme McDowell of Northern Ireland. Creamer leads US Women's Open champion Paula Creamer carded a 6-under par 66 Friday to claim a one-shot lead over Norwegian Suzann Pettersen in the LPGA Lorena Ochoa Invitational at Guadalajara in Mexico. Creamer birdied two of the final three holes at Guadalajara Country Club for a 10-under total of 134. Pettersen posted a 65 for 135, one shot in front of Stacy Lewis who carded a 69 for 136. Former world No. 1 Ochoa, who retired earlier this year but is making a cameo appearance in her namesake event, followed her first-round 74 with a 71 that left her in 26th place.
