ABU DHABI: Red Bull Athlete Abdulaziz Turki Al-Faisal will defend his Middle East Champion title of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East at the new season's curtain raiser in Abu Dhabi Nov. 13-14. The first round will thus also become the support races for the 2010 Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit. Launched last December, the exciting one-make series made a big impact in its inaugural season which saw Saudi Red Bull athlete Prince Abdulaziz Al-Faisal record nine wins in 12 rounds to become the first GT3 Cup Challenge champion in the Middle East. Abdulaziz will defend his title driving his new car Red Bull Porsche GT3 RS 911 which he tested at Dubai Autodrome track season recently. Following the opening two rounds in Abu Dhabi, the 2010-11 series continues with further rounds split between Yas Marina Circuit, Bahrain International Circuit and Reem International Circuit outside Riyadh, where it made history last season as the first international circuit race event ever staged in the Saudi Arabia.
