Fanoun Organization has designed a three-dimensional map of Makkah and the holy sites, the first part of a plan to produce a 3D tourist map of the whole country. Abdul Aziz Al-Khutabi, the supervisor of the project, said the map was part of efforts to “translate the vision of the Emir of Makkah and detail the architectural and aesthetic boom Makkah is witnessing”. “The map will assist visitors to the Grand Mosque in finding their bearings and make it easier for pilgrims to find their way to the holy sites and avail themselves of the services and facilities provided for them by the Kingdom,” he said.
