BEIRUT/RIYADH/JEDDAH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will cover the medical expenses of the ailing former Lebanese president Salim Al-Hass at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh. Awadh Asiri, the Saudi Ambassador in Beirut, said King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, issued the order for Al-Hass's admittance to King Faisal Hospital as soon as he learnt of his condition. “Al-Hass was extremely proud and grateful when he heard the news, and thanked the leadership for its generosity and the humanitarian gesture from the great man Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz,” Asiri said.
