YANBU: Police here arrested a man for allegedly using intense pre-Eid Al-Adha sheep market sales activity as cover for his money laundering activities. Investigators discovered that the man had made numerous purchases using counterfeit money at markets in Yanbu, Tayma, Jeddah and Makkah, where he reportedly targeted elderly and foreign salesmen and dispensed in each operation between 20 and 30 thousand riyals. After making a purchase, he would resell the animals, thereby acquiring genuine money. Police said that upon his arrest the suspect was found in possession of a large number of out-of-date passports and other official documents.
