NEW YORK: Japanese star Ichiro Suzuki won his 10th Gold Glove award for fielding skills Tuesday, becoming only the fifth player in Major League Baseball history to claim such an honor over at least a decade. Seattle superstar Suzuki matched the record for consecutive Gold Gloves by an American League outfielder shared by Ken Griffey Jr. and Al Kaline, having claimed the honor during every season since his arrival from Japan. The overall record is shared by Willie Mays and Roberto Clemente.
