Huda Bidda, wife of the Consul General of Tunisia, organized a fashion show to celebrate the Tunisia Heritage and Culture Week in Jeddah last week. “Culture and heritage are part and parcel of every country and it helps to know about its people and their traditions. Through this fashion show, we aim to create awareness about Tunisian tradition,” said the anchor Suriya Chelly, a community leader. Tunis fashion designer Narjes Darwaish displayed in her collection traditional wedding gowns with a touch of modernity. She said that Tunisian wedding is a combination of many ceremonies, the henna day being the most special. The brides and her friends wear colorful dresses made of silk, satin and chiffon with golden and silver thread and stonework. __
