Wedad Charitable Society in Jeddah, which has received four orphans from the Asir branch of the Ministry of Social Affairs, is looking for Saudi families to sponsor the children. Engineer Hussein Saeed Bahri, the society's chairman, told Okaz/Saudi Gazette that his organization received the children Monday and is looking after them at its shelter, in preparation to their being assimilated into families that sponsor them and provide breast-feeding. He said the society is making maximum efforts to ensure that Saudi families care for orphans so they can overcome the social stigma and psychological barriers when they grow up. The Al-Wedad Charitable Society's basic objective is to enable orphans to lead honorable, dignified lives, he added.
