Bruins' Thomas shuts out Senators

OTTAWA: Tim Thomas made 29 saves for his second straight shutout and third of the season in the Boston Bruins' 4-0 victory over the Ottawa Senators Saturday.
Thomas has 20 career NHL shutouts, five against the Senators.
David Krejci, Tyler Seguin, Milan Lucic and Jordan Caron scored to help the Bruins raise their record to 6-2. Brian Elliott made 21 saves for Ottawa.
Rangers 2, Maple Leafs 0: At Toronto, Henrik Lundqvist stopped 36 shots for his 25th career NHL shutout as the New York Rangers beat Toronto.
The Maple Leafs were shut out for the second consecutive game and haven't scored in 122 minutes, 24 seconds. Toronto has recorded only seven goals in six games.
Brian Boyle and Ryan Callahan scored for New York, which snapped a two-game skid. Callahan scored on a penalty shot, providing more insurance in Lundqvist's first shutout of the season.
Flyers 6, Islanders 1: At Philadelphia, Jeff Carter and Chris Pronger both scored two goals, to back a strong goaltending performance by Sergei Bobrovsky, as Philadelphia topped the New York Islanders.
Kimmo Timonen and Andreas Nodl also scored for the Flyers, who have won three straight since a lackluster 2-1 loss to Columbus on Oct. 25. The slumping Islanders dropped their fourth in a row after a three-game winning streak.
Penguins 3, Hurricanes 0: At Raleigh, North Carolina, Brent Johnson made 33 saves, and Pascal Dupuis scored two goals to lead Pittsburgh over Carolina.
Maxime Talbot also scored for the Penguins, who snapped a three-game losing streak. Sidney Crosby had two assists. The 34-year-old Johnson earned his 14th NHL shutout. He entered the game ranked second in the league in goals-against average and save percentage.
Red Wings 5, Predators 2: At Detroit, Pavel Datsyuk had two goals and an assist to lift Detroit past Nashville.
Brad Stuart, Tomas Holmstrom and Patrick Eaves also scored for Detroit. Ruslan Salei and Nicklas Lidstrom each had two assists, and Chris Osgood made 23 saves.
Joel Ward, Kevin Klein had goals for Nashville. Pekka Rinne stopped 23 shots.
Panthers 3, Canadiens 1: At Montreal, David Booth scored from a penalty shot and Tomas Vokoun made 40 saves, leading Florida over Montreal.
Blackhawks 3, Wild 1: At St. Paul, Minnesota, Marty Turco bounced back from a benching with 25 saves as Chicago beat Minnesota.
Stars 4, Sabres 0: At Dallas, Andrew Raycroft made 34 saves for his eighth career shutout, and James Neal and Brenden Morrow scored power-play goals as Dallas snapped a three-game losing streak with a victory over Buffalo.
Elsewhere it was: Blues 4, Thrashers 3, SO; Avalanche 5, Blue Jackets 1; Lightning 3, Coyotes 0; Sharks 5, Ducks 2; Capitals 7, Flames 2; Kings 3, Devils 1.
