TAIF: The Directorate of Health Affairs in Makkah Region is investigating the death of a girl only two hours after she was released from King Faisal Hospital in Taif as a result of an allegedly incorrect medical diagnosis by the treating doctor. According to Okaz/Saudi Gazette sources, the girl visited the hospital several days ago complaining of heart problems. After a check-up and diagnosis of her condition, the treating doctor allegedly told her family that she was all right and they could take her home. But her health deteriorated about two hours after arriving at home. This forced the family to call the Red Crescent to rush her back to the hospital, but the girl passed away when the ambulance arrived at the hospital. The family is now raising questions about the doctor's diagnosis and why he sent her home. Dr. Abdul Qader Al-Sini, Director of King Faisal Hospital in Taif, said the Directorate of Health Affairs in Makkah region has started an investigation into the incident with a number of doctors at the hospital. Also, the directorate has taken possession of the girl's medical file and all the reports related to it. The sources confirmed that the Directorate of Health Affairs is conducting an investigation.
