DAMMAM: The Human Rights Commission is looking into a request from a Saudi in his sixties for help in the care of his 38 children whose lack of legal identity documents renders them ineligible for charitable assistance. Unemployed Yahya Al-Majrashi fathered his offspring, the oldest of whom is a 30-year-old male, by five foreign women in marriages conducted without legal permits. He is divorced from one of them. Ibrahim Asiri of the Human Rights Commission said Al-Majrashi's case was being looked at. “The Human Rights Commission in the Eastern Province is working with the father to obtain birth certificates for his sons and daughters and marriage certificates. When the procedures are complete we will approach the official bodies to tackle the situation,” Asiri said.
