Faisali edged visitors Al-Ahli 3-2 to conclude round 11 of the Zain Saudi Professional League at Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Sports City Stadium in Al-Majma'a Saturday. Brazilian Victor Simoes put Ahli in the lead in the 24th minute, but Senegalese defender Albaye Papa Diop leveled the score for Faisali 13 minutes later. Midfielder Omar Abdul Aziz put the host in the lead eight minutes after the break through a long kick, before Ahli's Brazilian midfielder Marcinho da Silva's free kick brought the scores level again at 2-2 in the 70th minute. A header by Albanian striker Migen Memelli in the 81st minute, however, gave Faisali the win for good. Faisali keeper Owaydha Al-Ameri showed top form throughout the match, but Ahli keeper Yasser Al-Mosayleem had a night to forget. His performance contributed to the failure of Ahli. Al-Ahli itself is going through a bad patch, having lost points in seven encounters. The only two wins have come against Al-Hazm and Al-Qadisiyah. Ahli had shared the points with Al-Ta'awon. Faisali remains of fifth spot on the standings with 18 points, while Ahli is 12th on seven points.
