RIYADH: A Saudi man was beheaded by the sword Friday after being sentenced to death for killing a Bangladeshi taxi-driver and armed robberies, the Interior Ministry said. Yahia Majrashi was convicted of stabbing the victim to death and committing at least 14 armed robberies in which several people suffered injuries, the ministry said in a statement cited by the official SPA news agency. His beheading in the Saudi capital Riyadh brings to 22 the number of executions reported this year in Saudi Arabia.
