TAIF: Taif Police have opened an investigation into the death of a fetus found by staff at a private hospital two weeks ago. Sources told Okaz/Saudi Gazette that the private hospital said the fetus was found in a hospital corridor by cleaners who then “kept it for safekeeping”. The hospital requested police permission to bury the fetus “as per procedures”, but request was denied. “Police want to question hospital staff to ascertain why the fetus was apparently kept at the hospital for two weeks without the authorities being informed,” the sources said. “The fetus has been taken to King Faisal Hospital morgue where a forensic examination will be carried out Saturday to determine the cause and time of death.”
