Flyers 6, Sabres 3: In Philadelphia, the home team survived a third-period flurry to beat Buffalo. Flames 5, Oilers 4, SO: In Calgary, the hosts made it five wins in six games by beating Edmonton in a shootout. Brendan Morrison scored two goals and Alex Tanguay netted the shootout winner for Calgary. The Flames looked to be in control when they built a 4-1 late in the second period, but the Oilers forced overtime with a furious comeback. Senators 5, Coyotes 2: In Ottawa, Alex Kovalev combined with Erik Karlsson for the fastest two goals in Ottawa history, leading the Senators past Phoenix.
