Ittihad shared two goals with visitors Al-Wehdah while Najran beat visitors Al-Qadisiyah 2-1 in the ninth round of Zain Saudi Professional League action Friday. The third encounter between Al-Hilal and Al-Shabab was suspended due to the two teams' participation in the Asian Champions League (ACL). At Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium, striker Salman Al-Sabiyani put Wehdah in the lead two minutes into the game. Three minutes before the break, Portuguese midfielder of Ittihad Paulo Jorge leveled the score. Wehdah not only put an end to Ittihad's winning streak, it also returned home with an important point in its bag. Ittihad still sits atop the standings with 22 points. The draw, however, pushed Wehdah into the sixth spot on 10 points. At Al-Okhdoud Club Stadium, Senegalese midfielder Hamad Ji put Najran in the lead after 20 minutes. Midfielder Mubarak Al-Asmari leveled the score for Qadisiyah two minutes later. Al-Asmari, however, missed a golden chance to put Qadisiyah one up in the 82nd when he missed the spot kick. Najran striker Al-Hasan Al-Yami handed his team the three points from the game when he put the ball in Qadisiyah's goal five minutes later. With nine points each, the win lifted Najran into ninth spot and pulled Qadisiyah down to seventh. On Saturday, Al-Nasr, Al-Ra'id, Al-Fateh and Al-Hazm will host Al-Ahli, Al-Ittifaq, Al-Faisali and Al-Ta'awon, respectively.
