Green Building forum opens today

RIYADH: Prince Mansour Bin Met'eb Bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, is scheduled to open the Saudi “Green Building” Forum in Riyadh Saturday.
Green building, also known as green construction or sustainable building, is the practice of creating structures using processes that are environmentally responsible and efficient throughout the building's life cycle.
Faisal Al-Fadl, the forum's Secretary General, said the workshops and exhibition are being organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, with the support of the Ministry of Water and Electricity, the Saudi Council for Green Buildings and the Saudi Engineers Association.
