Rangers won its first trophy in three years on Sunday, defeating Dundee United in the League Cup final 3-2 on penalty kicks.
Substitute Kris Boyd was the key for Rangers - scoring equalizing goals in both regular and extra time and converting the winning spot kick.
Noel Hunt put Dundee United ahead in the 34th minute after Morgaro Gomis' initial shot was pushed away by Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor.
Boyd, who had come on in the 61st minute, leveled in the 85th for Rangers after taking advantage of poor defending from Mark Kerr to force the game into extra time.
Mark De Vries gave Dundee United a 2-1 lead after six minutes of extra time.
Boyd came to Rangers' rescue again to level the game at 2-2 with a headed goal with two minutes remaining in the second half of extra time.
Rangers missed two penalty kicks, and McGregor saved two of Dundee United's three failed conversion attempts - setting up Boyd to score the decisive goal.Fulham wins
Brian McBride scored the lone goal Sunday in Fulham's 1-0 win over visiting Everton, giving the struggling club its first victory in the Premier League in more than a month.
Fulham's attempt to climb out of the relegation zone was also helped by fellow struggling club Bolton's 1-0 loss to 10-man Wigan.
Bolton has 25 points in 18th place, with Fulham one place and two points behind.
Only five points separate 14th-place Reading from Fulham in 19th.
Manchester City rallied to beat Tottenham 2-1 with goals from Nedum Onuoh and Stephen Ireland.
McBride scored his second goal of the season in the 67th minute in windy, rainy conditions at Craven Cottage. Simon Davies crossed the ball into the box after a run down the left, and Joseph Yobo's failed clearance fell to McBride, who headed it in.
McBride only played three games in August before hurting his knee during a game. He returned to the team in February.
Everton has 56 points in fifth place, while Liverpool has 59 in fourth.
Onuoha headed in City's winning goal in the 72nd minute, 13 minutes after Ireland had leveled the score by tapping the ball in from five meters (yards).
Robbie Keane had put Tottenham ahead in the 32nd minute, sending a ball from a sharp angle off the inside post and in. It was the club's first win since beating Manchester United 2-0 on Feb. 10.
On Monday, Birmingham hosts Newcastle.Inter leads by 6 points
Inter Milan beat Palermo 2-1 Sunday to lead Serie A by six points, with Patrick Vieira scoring his first league goal of the season.
Vieira headed in a soft pass from Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the 5th minute.
Palermo tied in the 25th on an own-goal by Inter defender Marco Materazzi and Luis Antonio Jimenez scored the winning goal in the 36th.
Inter has 67 points and AS Roma, which defeated AC Milan 2-1 on Saturday, has 61 points. Juventus, in third place with 54 points, beat visiting Napoli 1-0.
Also Sunday, Fiorentina defeated Genoa 3-1 with a goal and assist from Adrian Mutu who returned after missing three weeks with an injury. Fiorentina is fourth with 50 points.
Livorno and Parma drew 1-1 in a relegation zone match. For Parma it was the first game under new coach Hector Cuper, who joined the team Tuesday. Cuper led Valencia to the Champions League final in 2000 and 2001 before moving to Inter.
