MADINA: A needle believed to have been left inside a cushion by its manufacturer pierced the neck of a man as he lay his head down to sleep, the man's son said. “The needle was hidden inside the cushion, and it was 20cm long and went right through his neck,” said the son, who took his father to hospital where the needle was extracted by doctors. “It's the same type they use to make the cushions at upholstery factories in Madina.” The victim is reportedly in good health, while his son had a simple explanation. “One of the workers at the factory must have left it inside the cushion by accident.”
