Sheikh Mubarak, a member of the Board of Senior Ulema, said globalization is not an absolute evil. “I mean that the Islamic culture should be disseminated all over the globe and also the Islamic religion should be introduced to the entire world,” he said while addressing a workshop to develop a strategy for protecting youths from deviant thoughts. He blamed students receiving religious education and Shariah scholars for not exerting efforts to convey the message of Islam to the world. “Regrettably, we are engrossed in religious matters such as the ruling of the Sajda of forgetfulness “Sajood Al-Sahoo,” rather than explaining the reality of this religion and clarifying every tiny detail about it to the world,” he said. The workshop also defined the strategy's principles, including the adherence to the Holy Qur'an and the “Sunnah,” according to the methods of the worthy ancestors; preserving the Shariah rights of the rulers; and abiding by Islamic values and morals such as justice, moderation, tolerance and compassion. The workshop also adopted the strategy's basic principles, which include approval of the culture of intellectual security and consolidating national loyalty and sense of belonging. Participants of the workshop stressed that the core of this strategy is to lead the Kingdom to achieve intellectual security regionally and internationally.
