Al-Hilal set up a Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Cup semifinal clash with Al-Ahli after drawing 1-1 with Al-Shabab in Riyadh, Sunday. A header from Nawaf Al-Temyat, playing his first match after a month-long injury break, put Al-Hilal ahead in the ninth minute before Abdul Aziz Al-Yousuf scored the equalizer for Al-Shabab two minutes from time. Al-Shabab remains on top in Group B with 24 points, two ahead of the second placed Al-Hilal. Al-Shabab will play its home rival Al-Nasr in the semifinals while Al-Hilal will take on Al-Ahli in Jeddah. The four teams have secured their passage to the semifinal stage one round before the end of the first round. The only Jeddah side in the semifinal has secured the top spot in Group A with 22 points, taking advantage of a 1-1 draw between Al-Nasr and Al-Taei in Hail. Al-Ahli, however, won 2-0 over Al-Watani at King Khaled Sports City in Tabuk. Both the goals were scored in the second half through Taiser Al-Jassem (51st minute) and Ibtahim Hazazi (74th minute). In Hail, it was Mohammed Al-Hussain who put Al-Nasr ahead three minutes from the break before Hamad Al-Juhaim drew level the game in the 84th minute. Also Sunday, Al-Ittihad of Jeddah recorded a morale-boosting 4-2 victory at home over Al-Wehdah at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium. Abdul Aziz Al-Sobiani scored three goals for the Jeddah club. Sultan Al-Nomari put the home side in front two minutes into the game before Muktar Fallatah equalized in the 26th minute. One minute later, Al-Sobiani doubled the lead for Al-Ittihad but Fallatah found the equalizer 20 minutes into the second half. Al-Sobiani added the third goal for the home side in the 79th minute before putting the result beyond any doubt in the dying minutes of the game. In other matches, Al-Hazm won 1-0 over Al-Qadissiyah in Al-Rass while Al-Ittifaq blanked Najran 3-0. The competition is mainly for players Under-23 but the Saudi Arabian Football Federation has allowed clubs to play five foreign players above that age group. __
