LONDON: Central defender John Terry will miss England's Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro Tuesday because of a back injury. The Football Association said in a statement that Chelsea captain Terry has returned to his club after being assessed by England medical staff Sunday. The FA says he is not fit to play any part in the game and that no extra call-ups will be made to the squad “at this time.” England is second in Group G, with six points from two games, while Montenegro is top with nine points from three matches. A victory at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday would put Fabio Capello's side top of the group. German fans protest Around 4,000 supporters from football clubs across Germany united Sunday to demonstrate peacefully against rising ticket prices and the commercialization of the nation's favorite sport. The event was attended by supporters' groups from more than 50 clubs in the first, second and third divisions of Germany's Bundesliga with a rally held in front of the Rotes Rathaus in Berlin's city center. The fans gripes are against rising ticket prices, fan unfriendly kick-off times and heavy-handed action by the police. “People must understand that this comes back on the fans and it kills the atmosphere in the stadiums,” said spokesman Wilko Zicht. Speakers denounced the commercialization policies of both the German Football Federation (DFB) and the German league (DFL). There was a heavy police presence throughout, but the demonstration passed off without incident. The Bundesliga remains the cheapest league in Europe: an average price for a ticket last season was 20.79 euros compared to 43 euros in England's Premier League and 40 euros for a Spanish league match. The league is booming: the Bundesliga turned a profit of around 1.7 billion euros in 2009 compromising mainly of match-day revenue (424m euros), sponsorship receipts (573m) and broadcast income (594m). But fans are concerned ticket prices are slowly creeping up and the introduction of a Saturday evening game for television in the German league - where matches traditionally start at 3.30 P.M. on a Saturday - have proved unpopular here. Klose hints at Bayern exit In-form German striker Miroslav Klose hinted Sunday about leaving defending German champion Bayern Munich with his contract set to expire next June to help him achieve his goal of playing at Euro 2012. The 32-year-old scored twice in Germany's 3-0 win over Turkey Friday night to put his country top of Group A in its Euro 2012 qualifying campaign with three wins from three. The Poland-born ace has said he wants to continue playing through to the Euro 2012 finals which will be hosted in the Ukraine and his native Poland. Klose has 57 goals from 104 international appearances and is second only to Gerd Mueller's incredible tally of 68 goals in 62 games between 1966 and 1974. Remarkably, Klose has scored five goals for Germany in just three Euro 2012 qualifiers this season, but has failed to find the net in seven games for Bayern Munich and has hinted he is prepared to leave. “I am open to anything: whether I get a contract extension or change clubs, I can see myself playing for another club in the Bundesliga,” Klose told German daily Bild Sunday.
