Striker Mohanad Aseeri put the Saudi side in the lead from the spot in the 30th minute before doubling the lead a minute before the break. Midfielder Tayseer Al-Jassim helped beef up the lead in the 58th minute and striker Saleh Basheer sealed the Saudi win three minutes before time. The visitors lost the services of defender Shavkat in the 29th minute when he brought Aseeri down in the area. The referee gave the defender his marching orders. The Saudis then dominated the match and the result could have been very different had they made the most of the chances that came their way.
