day seminar on marketing is to be held at Dar Al-Hekma College (DAH) Sunday. It will be conducted by Prof. Dr. Philip Kotler, S.C. Johnson & Son Distinguished Professor of International Marketing at the Northwestern University Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Chicago. A source at DAH told Saudi Gazette Wednesday that companies and organizations can participate. “I would like as many expats who are interested, to get an opportunity to attend,” she said, and added that it is also beneficial for any individual who wants to advance his or her career. “We use marketing every day of our life; we market ourselves, our products, our companies. Why not learn how to do it from the expert,” she said. The seminar comprises four sessions –- how to deal with the company's major business challenges and opportunities, how to search for powerful new ideas and innovate successfully, how to improve branding power, and how to develop a superior company reputation through sustainability-driven thinking. Kotler is known to many as the author of what is widely recognized as the most authoritative textbook on marketing: Marketing Management, now in its 13th edition. He has also authored or co-authored dozens of leading books on marketing. He is hailed by Management Centre Europe as “the world's foremost expert on the strategic practice of marketing.” Moreover, he has published more than one hundred articles in leading journals, including the Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, Business Horizons, California Management Review, and the Journal of Marketing.
