MADINA: The authorities here are expected to issue a decision banning a foreigner, sentenced to deportation, from marrying a Saudi woman, an informed source told Okaz/Saudi Gazette. These men are known to marry Saudi women to stay in the country. The source told Okaz/Saudi Gazette a letter has been sent out to all relevant agencies and regional administrations to check the records of foreigners, before allowing them to marry Saudi women. The marriage should not be approved if a binding verdict of deportation has been issued against the man. The move by the authorities comes in the wake of the Madina region's governorate warning about the deception of some foreigners arrested on criminal charges, who try to prevent being deported by marrying a Saudi woman. The decision to ban such marriages is based on a circular issued by Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior.
