RIYADH: Etihad Etislat (Mobily) and Cisco International are working together to further expand the managed services portfolio for businesses, Mobily announced Wednesday, after a meeting that included Engineer Abdulaziz Altamami, Mobily's chief operations officer, and Wayne Fullerton, managing director of Cisco International. Mobily will offer a suite of managed services to the business sector, coupled with internet and connectivity services, in addition to the current managed services portfolio launched earlier by Mobily and Bayanat Al Oula, a subsidiary of Mobily, with the latest in telecom technology through Cisco's pioneering networking capabilities. The engagement between Cisco and Mobily comes as a result of a strategic partnership that bolsters Mobily's creative/ award-winning managed data center project, which Mobily established to provide the finest telecom services for the business sector. Among Mobily's distinguished services are managed hosted data center services and managed customer premises based services. These services are designed to meet all the requirements of companies of any scale with high reliability/redundancy and most of all minimal total cost of ownership. Altamami said the cooperation solidifies the strategic relationship between the two companies by combining their pioneering services, which serves Mobily's vision to enable the Saudi business sector to benefit from the finest of telecom technology. He added that working with Cisco will enable Mobily to expand its managed services portfolio. Demand for managed information technology is growing.
