The Zamzam Charitable Society recently provided free medical treatment for 112 sick residents of Starah Valley located between Jeddah and Madina. The free medical care over two days included treatment of 13 cases of hypertension, eight cases of diabetes, 37 eye infections, and 54 medical checkups. Most of the participants in the medical convoy were volunteers, including two doctors, pharmacists and administrative assistants. “With this medical convoy we want to help poor families in the villages of Starah Valley. This is the main objective of our charitable society,” said Dr. Ali Al-Fakeih, General Secretary of the Zamzam Charitable Society and Consultant of Family Medicine at King Abdul Aziz University. Meanwhile, the charity is providing free medical care and services to poor families in Makkah province through mobile clinics staffed by doctors and containing medical equipment and medicine.
