According to Dr. Osama Tayyib, President of King Abdulaziz University, the symposium aims to highlight the correct image of the Saudi moderate approach and its application throughout the history of the Kingdom, to consolidate the arguments on which the approach has been built, and to spread the culture of moderation in Saudi society. He pointed out that the symposium will tackle a number of subjects including the religious aspect and its role in consolidating the Saudi moderate approach. In addition, participants will also consider relevant Saudi culture, history, political and economic views and standpoints in building this approach. Benefits from the symposium include spreading a culture of moderation, reducing and tackling calls to extremism and Westernization, developing feelings of patriotism and boosting national affiliation. Further positive benefits include clarifying and highlighting the real image of the Kingdom, its legislation, and internal and external regulations. The Chair is targeting people between the ages of five to 21, with a strategic plan over five years.
