There has been an increase of 30 percent in the number of confirmed exhibitors for this year's edition of Saudi Build 2010. Over 850 exhibitors from 34 countries have already reserved their space for the event, said Muhammad Al-Hussaini, Deputy General Manager of the REC. “The growth in the number of participants for this year's event reflects the strength and huge potential of the construction and construction materials industries in Saudi Arabia,” said Al-Hussaini. He said the overwhelming response from the exhibitors also affirmed the availability of opportunities offered by the Saudi and regional markets. “We look forward to the record numbers of participants at Saudi Build and Saudi Stone-Tech that will run concurrently with the main event, he said. REC has expanded exhibition's space for Saudi Build 2010 by around 50 percent to 27,000 sq. meters, he said. A major part of Saudi Build is ‘The PMV Series 2010'' which will feature a premium selection of heavy construction machinery and equipment. Paragon Hydraulic Transmissions (PMV) will cover a combined indoor and outdoor area of more than 5,000 sq. meter displaying the latest construction heavy machinery and equipment. In response to intense investor interest in the region's construction activity, the REC is focusing on the heavy construction machinery and equipment upon which the expanding construction sectors of the Middle East in general and Saudi Arabia in particular are extremely reliant. More than 20 international trade authorities and associations will support Saudi Build 2010 - the 22nd International Construction Technology and Building Materials Exhibition.
