Umar Khan Alisherzai, Ambassador of Pakistan, has felicitated the Saudi leadership and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the Kingdom's National Day. “On the occasion of National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, I wish to convey sincere felicitation and best wishes on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan and on my own behalf to King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Crown Prince Sultan and Prince Naif, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior; and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia,” he said. The ambassador said Pakistan-Saudi strategic partnership is deep rooted in history and the relations have always been cordial and unique. These relations have been further cemented by the presence and the contributions of the hard working Pakistani community in the Kingdom, he said. The ambassador lauded the dynamic role played by King Abdullah for the causes of Islamic Ummah and for the progress and prosperity of the people of Saudi Arabia. The government and the people of Pakistan, he said, highly appreciate the generosity and help of the Kingdom during the recent devastating floods. “Saudi Arabia has always supported Pakistan in difficult times. This has greatly reduced their sufferings for which the entire Pakistani nation is obliged,” he said.
