A special licensure board examination for Filipino professionals will be conducted in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Abu Dhabi on Nov. 16-18 by the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the agency responsible for regulating and supervising the practice of Filipino professionals. The licensure board examinations will be in the fields of electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, architecture, and accountancy. Licensure examinations in these specialized fields are conducted periodically by PRC to further legitimize the practice of Filipino professionals working in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries and provide them with better competitive edge in the global job market. All qualified examinees may submit their application forms to the Philippine Professional Organization (PPO), the association of all Filipino professionals in the Kingdom and the Gulf region, in their respective areas before Sept. 30, for onward transmittal to the PRC in Manila on or before Oct. 5.
