Forensic team members and investigators collected Monday 70 specimens from the body of the Algerian girl who plunged to her death from the 16th floor of a hotel in Makkah to the roof of an adjacent hotel, authorities said. The team has resorted to this measure to precisely determine the cause of her death, according to authorities. In another development, security authorities have shifted Yemenis thought to be involved in the incident to the General Prison, where they are being kept in solitary confinement. They will be referred to the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution and charged with crimes, according to authorities. The hotel that employed the Yemenis without transferring their sponsorship is facing a penalty of being closed for three months, official sources at the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities told Okaz/Saudi Gazette. Rules for operating hotels and labor regulations forbid employing illegal residents as waiters and room-service workers, the source added.
