The Ministry of Haj has denied any knowledge of investigations into financial and administrative corruption at its branch in Madina. The statement came in response to an Okaz/Saudi Gazette report Monday that revealed some violations at the branch, and that the Control and Investigation Board is investigating reports of corruption among senior officials there. The report also noted that investigators are examining official documents. While the Ministry of Haj has categorically denied that authorities informed it about the violations, Adel Al-Baihani, director of its branch in Madina, confirmed that a CIB representative visited his office and told him about the administrative and financial corruption cases.
