Casey Stoner won Moto GP's Aragon Grand Prix from pole position Sunday ahead of Dani Pedrosa of Honda. The Australian rider won for the first time since last season's Malaysian GP. Spain's Pedrosa continued his chase of overall leader Jorge Lorenzo of Yamaha, who finished fourth after starting second. Stoner's Ducati teammate Nicky Hayden passed Lorenzo on the final lap to finish third. With five races remaining and 25 points awarded for a win, Pedrosa is the only rider who can catch Lorenzo in the overall standings. The Yamaha rider leads his compatriot by 56 points and Stoner is 129 points back in third. Current world champion Valentino Rossi, who is struggling with a shoulder injury, finished sixth. Moto GP paid its respects to Moto2 rider Shoya Tomizawa, who was killed when he fell and was hit by two trailing bikes in San Marino two weeks ago. All riders across each racing category wore a patch featuring Tomizawa's No. 48, which was retired from Moto2 racing in honor of the Japanese rider. Andrea Iannone of Italy won the Moto2 race and Spaniard Pol Espargaro was victorious in the 125cc category.
