Under the patronage of Prince Dr. Mansour Bin Mite'b Bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, the activities of Saudi-Chinese Youth Forum started here Friday. The forum has been organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom in cooperation with the Saudi Committee for the Development of International Trade (CIT) at the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry as well as the All-China Youth Federation. Meanwhile, the Saudi embassy in Beijing held a dinner banquet in honor of the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, the accompanying delegation, and members of the Saudi youth delegation. The banquet was attended by senior Chinese officials, ambassadors of Arab countries, and members of the Saudi diplomatic corps in Beijing. The Saudi delegation, which comprises 20 young men and a number of officials, arrived in Beijing Thursday to participate in the forum. At the ongoing Shanghai World Expo, the Saudi Pavilion has been the favorite foreign pavilion of Chinese tourists, beating out the Japan pavilion. The Saudi pavilion, on an average, has 20,000 visitors per day, with several of them waiting for five to six hours to enter the pavilion.
