Preliminary investigations show that the serial killer of three housemaids falsely claimed that he killed a fourth housemaid in July and hid her body in a flood culvert near Yanbu Al-Nakhl, officials said. Authorities did not find a body there, which led them to believe the man's story about the fourth murder was not true, according to officials. An Arab national confessed in court on Sunday to the sexual assault, disfigurement and murder of three Asian housemaids in 2007 and 2008. Ouda, 28, a father of six, is being held in the general prison after he was examined at Yanbu General Hospital for the state of his mental health. Ouda also dropped a bombshell by confessing that he was planning to kill an Asian housemaid toward the end of Ramadan and that he tried to lure a woman from the vicinity of a well-known car company, police said. Security authorities said Ouda then asked investigators to clear the charges against him. After making those statements, he recited verses from the Holy Qur'an and ate a healthy meal, as if he had done nothing, authorities said. According to information obtained by Okaz/Saudi Gazette, the nabbing of a network of beggars helped uncover the serial killer's crimes. A private driver, Abu Ayoub, guided the police to the beggary network, which includes the serial killer. Police who examined the victims' mobile phones found pornographic images of them with Ouda, but he tried to deny any involvement suggesting that the images and photos had been doctored, authorities said. The killer's son said his father quarreled with a housemaid, stabbed her on the street and justified his crime because he wanted to discipline the woman. In a new statement, Ouda's wife said she had earlier submitted an official complaint that her husband had forced her to beg.
